Singer was born on November 26, 1986, in Santa Monica California. The father of the singer, Vincenzo Barba is her mother Valerie Barba. Her family and she moved from New Jersey's Point Pleasant to Jersey at the age of six. In terms of her education, she attended Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. The schooling continued through Catholic University where she earned the degree of bachelor of architecture. Her first violin lessons began at the age four, and she was known as Violin Girl.
