Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress, best well-known for her films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis is the American actor and producer who has been in the theater and TV and films as and is actively involved across both sides of the screen. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Then she appeared on several television shows in independent films, mainstream and films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. After that, she was able to make an appearance in BET's epic TV series The Book of Negroes. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits include The Broadway show of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Coming to her movie career she is best known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime show High Incident.
